Kapiti Districts Aero Club (KDAC), provides first class practical and theoretical pilot training in fixed wing aircraft. Located just off Kapiti Road near the sandy beaches of Paraparaumu, 45 mins drive north of Wellington.

Kāpiti Aero Club is pleased to announce that applications for our 2025 Young Eagles programme are now open.
The Young Eagles programme was introduced to expose young adults to aviation and provide them with an opportunity to experience and gain knowledge of the different sectors within the aviation industry.
The programme will include flights to several local airports, visits to various aviation facilities around the Wellington region such as the Wellington control tower, the local aviation maintenance facilities at Paraparaumu and the MetService National Forecast Centre in Wellington, as well as talks from people employed in different aviation areas.
The programme is set to run once a month from mid January until October/November. These dates and times are subject to change based on availability and weather.

Congratulations to Young Eagle Elijah King on winning the Ross Macpherson Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship provides Elijah with $3500 to put towards finishing his flight training. Alongside this, as this years Top Scorer, he will be taking a trip to visit an ATC Unit. He will also be attending Flying Nationals this year in Ashburton. Well done Elijah, we are so proud of you!
